Principal OHL Design Engineer
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Principal OHL Design Engineer to join a rapidly growing company within the transmission & distribution sector, who have been successful in winning many major projects within the UK.
Your role as Principal OHL Design Engineer will be responsible for all design elements of new build and refurbishments of over head transmission lines in the UK.

Key responsibilities for this Principal OHL Design Engineer role:
- Take ownership and lead production of OHL detailed design packages.
- Lead team of junior engineers on the production of design packages & support their technical development.
- Analysis of OHL structures with PLS – Tower.
- Ensure compliance of designs with client and national standards.
- Prepare calculations and technical/ equipment specification documentation.
Experience required for this Principal OHL Design Engineer role:
- Experience in the production of all designs, calculations, reports & drawings associated with the new build or refurb of OHL projects from 11kv – 400kv.
- Experience in design og OHL with PLS – CADD & PLS – Tower.
- Experience of producing OHL design packages to UK transmission owner specifications.
- Thorough knowledge & experience applying SPEN, SSEN and / or National Grid technical specification, tech guidance notes, supplier requirements & design handbooks relating to OHL design in the UK.

Package offered for this Principal OHL Design Engineer role:
- £55,000 - £70,000+ package (this can me increased for right candidate)
