I have an opportunity for a Heavy Maintenance Team Leader to join the UK's leading Train Maintenance company who specialise in light & heavy maintenance across six different depots within the UK.
This role is pivotal in managing the depot operations, activities and personnel at their Bristol depot.
This is a varied role where you will work closely with your team, delegate responsibilities and duties, liaise with Project Engineers, Project Managers and the wider delivery team.
Key responsibilities for this Heavy Maintenance Team Leader role:
- Implementation and maintenance of safety systems, production efficiency and quality output.
- Ensuring the compliance of teams working to VMI's, VOI's and work instructions.
- Liaising with Project Engineers to ensure efficient work programmes are implemented.
- Work with the training department in the development of competence assessments for the team.
- Implementation of customer requirements.
- Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Experience required for this Heavy Maintenance Team Leader role:
- Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Rolling Stock preferred but I am open to speaking with candidates from various backgrounds.
- Understanding of rail vehicle maintenance
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering
- People management training

- Salary - £40, 936.82
