An experienced Project Manager with a strong construction background is required for one of Irelands leading main contracts within the construction industry throughout Ireland.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
· Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and completion.
· Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure that they are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
· Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
· Monitor project progress, identify any issues, and take corrective action as necessary.
· Manage the procurement of materials and equipment and ensure that they are delivered to site on time and within budget.
· Manage and direct construction teams, including subcontractors, to ensure that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement effective safety measures on construction sites.
· Maintain accurate records of project progress, including labour, materials, and equipment usage.
· Provide regular progress updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
· Mentor and train junior members of the construction team.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
· Minimum of 10 years' experience in project management in the civils construction industry.
· Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
· Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
· Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
