Job Description

We are looking for an experiience Construction Project Planner on a full-time, permanent basis to join a leading contracotor based in their office in Co Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and work on exciting projects.

The successful candidate should have experience within the construction industry and in a similar role.

Responsibilities of the Planner Role:

  • Draft contract/project schedules and provide ongoing monthly progress reports.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive project timelines covering all construction phases.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers to set achievable timelines and milestones.
  • Identify critical path activities and potential obstacles.
  • Develop and present schedules for bids and tenders.
  • Regularly monitor and update project schedules to accommodate changes in scope, resources, and deadlines.
  • Analyze project progress against schedules, offering insights to the project team.
  • Implement strategies to optimize project timelines and resource distribution.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and team members to gather schedule-related information.
  • Communicate schedule-related details to stakeholders and address concerns promptly.
  • Cultivate a collaborative environment to enhance project execution.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to project schedules and propose mitigation plans.
  • Anticipate potential delays and devise contingency strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on project schedules, progress, and potential challenges.
  • Offer recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.

Requirements for the Planner Role:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a planning role in Ireland or the UK.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
