We are looking for an experiience Construction Project Planner on a full-time, permanent basis to join a leading contracotor based in their office in Co Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and work on exciting projects.
The successful candidate should have experience within the construction industry and in a similar role.
Responsibilities of the Planner Role:
- Draft contract/project schedules and provide ongoing monthly progress reports.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive project timelines covering all construction phases.
- Work collaboratively with project managers to set achievable timelines and milestones.
- Identify critical path activities and potential obstacles.
- Develop and present schedules for bids and tenders.
- Regularly monitor and update project schedules to accommodate changes in scope, resources, and deadlines.
- Analyze project progress against schedules, offering insights to the project team.
- Implement strategies to optimize project timelines and resource distribution.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and team members to gather schedule-related information.
- Communicate schedule-related details to stakeholders and address concerns promptly.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment to enhance project execution.
- Conduct risk assessments related to project schedules and propose mitigation plans.
- Anticipate potential delays and devise contingency strategies.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on project schedules, progress, and potential challenges.
- Offer recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.
Requirements for the Planner Role:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a planning role in Ireland or the UK.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
