What is a Possession Planner?

The role of a Possession Planner is to plan, request and manage possessions and planning safe systems for work that will take place.

What are the typical duties and activities for a Possession Planner?

From employer to employer the job description of a Possession Planner will vary, however typical duties and activities undertaken include:

  • Maintain a good understanding and working knowledge of and plan safe systems of work.

  • Work closely with Line Safety Staff and Operatives and safely, as set out in the Rule Book.

  • Assist in planning protection arrangements.

  • Work closely with the construction manager and Planning Engineers to identify all available possessions

  • Brief all appropriate management and construction teams on possession arrangements, planning possession/protection arrangements.
