Senior Civil Structural Engineer
A fantastic opportunity to join a growing, forward thinking engineering consultancy who specialise in MEP, Environmental & Sustainability services within the rail and construction sectors. You will be joining a tight-knit team of dedicated, like-minded engineers and work alongside architects, developers, end users, designers and contractors on new build and refurbishment projects.
Key responsibilities for this Senior Civil Structural Engineer role:
- Assist the engineering team in all project activities.
- To create accurate 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD/MicroStation and 3D models using Revit/Aecosim in accordance with industry standards and company processes.
- To run clash detection and spatial planning.
- To prepare and present designs, reports, calculations and specifications, including all necessary associated design assurance processes and documentation.
- To support the implementation of technical standards.
- To support the development of company CAD standards and processes.
- To organise and attend site to undertake civil/structural surveys, coordinating third party input as required.
Experience required for this Senior Civil Structural Engineer role:
- Civil and Structural engineering background.
- Familiar with UK & Eurocodes design standards.
- Experience of developing designs from first principles.
- Proficient with the use of AutoCAD and experience with MicroStation (desirable) to create base models and drawings.
- Awareness of working within a BIM environment.
- HNC or HND in relevant engineering sector.
- Working towards appropriate professional status, i.e EngTech, AMICE, AMIStruct.
