An opportunity has arisen for a Planning Manager to join An established and experienced railway infrastructure contractor in their specialist Businesses team working on various rail contacts across the UK.

Based in Doncaster with Hybrid Working

As Planning Manager You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirement for this role.

The Planning Manager will also ideally have the following Experience/skill set:

- A background working in the rail sector ideally with understanding of signalling, track, power, electrification, and piling projects
- A measured and well organised approach to your work.
- Confident communication skills, both in writing and in internal and external correspondence
- Expertise in using Primavera P6, as well as being a competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- The ability to manage work to meet varying deadlines.
- The ability to form and maintain working relationships internal and externally at all levels
- Provide planning leadership to the team, giving direction as required on tenders and contracts

Planning Manager Responsibilities

- Providing planning management support to Bid Managers, Project Managers, Programme Managers and their teams.
- Deployment of resources across pre and post contract planning requirements
- Recruitment, retention and development of the team
- Programme reviews to ensure all programmes meet a satisfactory criteria
- Ensuring that all clients tender and contractual requirements are understood and complied with in relation to project planning, resource planning and progress reporting.
- Ensure the project plans for assigned contracts accurately reflect the technical work scope for the projects.
- Acting as a key link between Planning, Project Managers, Programme Managers and GM's. You will be responsible for highlighting issues, providing solutions to problems and reporting on a set of key performance indicators.

Salary / Benefits:

£65,000 - £80,000 per annum dependant on level of experience, plus
