West Midlands, (UK-Wide Portfolio)
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000

Working for an established design & build, fit-out & refurbishment business delivering a wide variety of commercial projects across the UK.

Overview: 

  • As Operations Manager you will lead the successful delivery of multiple commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects ranging from £1m to £10m in value.

  • This role is responsible for managing operational teams across several live projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 

  • Playing a key leadership role within the business, you will oversee small works delivery teams while working closely with commercial, pre-construction and senior leadership.

  • You will provide strategic oversight of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

  • Oversee resource planning across multiple sites. 

  • Ensure project managers maintain strong control over programme, cost and quality.

  • Support teams in managing subcontractors and supply chain partners. 

  • Promote a strong health and safety culture across all sites.

  • Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers, Site Managers and operational teams.

  • Support recruitment, training and performance management.

 

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within commercial fit-out or refurbishment. 

  • Strong understanding of construction programmes, cost control and risk management. 

  • Demonstrated experience delivering similar projects valued between £1m - £10m.
