I have an exciting opportunity for a Lead NDT Technician to join a leading provider of assured weld engineering services and repair solutions for safety critical, rolling tock structures and components.
As a Lead NDT Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving quality assurance in all NDT operations.
As Lead NDT Technician you will be responsible for assisting with the specification, documentation and verification of NDT requirements, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all NDT activities within the business align with industry requirements, particularly BS EN 15085.
Key responsibilities for this Lead NDT Technician:
- Providing technical expert in NDT (training can/will be provided as progression and to support in achieving goals).
- VT, MPI, DPI, UT processes and standards (level 2).
- Updating all systems and databases (technique sheets, SOP's and Templates).
- Assist in maintaining a high level of work quality for the workshop and off-site.
- Serve as a liaison between the team and management.
- Calibration of all DT equipment.
- Review, approve and release NDT reports to customers.
- Surveillance on and off-site - NDT technicians
- Recording RFT to improve productivity and training.
Experience required for this Lead NDT Technician:
- Demonstrated leadership and professionalism skills.
- Comfortable advocating and problem solving.
- Good understanding of VT-MPI-DPI- UT processes and standards.
- Experience of reviewing, approving NDT reports to clients/customers.
- Experience of writing quality documents, technique sheets, SOP's and Templates.
Package offered for this Lead NDT Technician:
- Salary £36,000 - £40,000
