Summary
Navartis are working exclusively with a family run engineering company based in the Derby area to recruit a Mechanical & Electrical fitter into their current engineering roster.
This vacancy is an exciting opening to join a company with a strong reputation in the rail sector, offering a wide range of services dating back a number of generations. The ideal candidate will be one who shares the company’s vision of providing efficient, reliable and cost-effective solutions to their clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of mechanical equipment
- Ensure correct reporting systems are utilised, for the purpose of completing work on time and quoted correctly.
- Ensure all workplace standards in terms of health and safety procedures, workplace procedures and general practices are adhered to
- Performing the stripping and re-wiring of electrical components, as well as completing testing procedures
- Assist in identifying and completing any required training and development needs
- Build and maintain key relationships within the business – ranging from customers through to internal managers.
Seeking candidates with:
- Experience working in an environment of similar nature, ideally within the rail industry.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to perform comprehensive troubleshooting.
- Knowledge in electrical fault finding, exchanging electrical components.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually.
- A knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic components would be advantageous, as well as experience in HVAC” with “experience with HVAC chiller units, as well as compressors would be advantageous
Package on offer:
- Salary of up to £40k (dependant on experience)
