Construction Manager:

I am currently on the lookout for a Construction Manager for a Data Centre project in Mons, Belgium. I am acting on behalf of a well-established and globally respected based out of Ireland who operate heavily in Data Centre Industry.

This is an opportunity to join a company who has projects commencing throughout the globe with exponential growth in their Data Centre Division.

As a Construction Manager, you could have potential follow-on work across Europe on Hyperscale Data Centre projects.

 

The Construction Manager is required to have:              

  • 5 years’ experience as Senior Construction Manager or 10 years as Construction Manager.
  • 10 - 15 years previous experience on largescale technical projects.
  • Proven record managing large installation projects and sub-contractors.
  • In depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Quality compliance.
  • Experienced in design and build.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Civil, Structural & Architectural design and installations.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to drive a large-scale project.

 

Responsibilities of this Construction Manager role:

  • Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the project team and the Safety Advisor. This will include the set-up, management of and closing out of the safety file.
  • Management of Site QA in conjunction with QA Manager including set up, management and close out of file.
  • Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Project team and Project manager.
  • Management of all day-to-day site operations
  • Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and staffing levels. Ensure that there are weekly meetings with subcontractors.
  • Management of the snagging system ensuring that supervisors return weekly snag/defects list where applicable.
  • Ensure direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours are reported to time administrator for tracking centrally.
  • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
  • Assistance with the close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the support of the project manager.
