Approval Manager

Job Description

Our client, a well known European leader in rail, looking for an Approval Manager/Ceritification engineer (m/f/d) - Signal Railways System division at the Munich location as soon as possible. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the complete approval of signaling systems and railway systems in accordance with national and international standards and regulations.
  • Analysis of applicable regulations, laws and standards
  • Plan, document, and drive forward the implementation of approval processes for each approved subject.
  • Making decisions in the admissions process
  • Identification, staffing and coordination of roles and stakeholders in the admissions process
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant approval and safety requirements for products and systems in the field of railway signalling
  • Coordination with customers, internal stakeholders, the relevant regulatory authorities and testing bodies.
  • Support during admission examinations and tests, as well as monitoring of the testing processes.
  • Preparation and maintenance of registration documents and applications.
  • Preparation and maintenance of evidence and reports to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Support in the implementation of risk management processes in connection with approval procedures.
  • Review of approval requirements for new products and their implementation.
  • Support in conducting internal audits and certifications in the field of signaling technology
  • Representation in working groups, committees, workshops and project meetings on admissions topics

Technical skills, qualifications and professional experience:

  • A completed degree, preferably in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, natural sciences, transport engineering, law or a comparable field.
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of approval management is desirable, preferably in the field of railway technology or signaling technology.
  • Experience in railway signaling technology, particularly on the infrastructure side, is advantageous.
  • Experience in the DB InfraGO environment is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of the relevant norms, standards and regulations in the field of railway systems (e.g. sector guideline, EIGV, GIUV, TSI, CSM, EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).
  • Experience in working with regulatory authorities and certification bodies is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational talent.

 Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
