Site Superintendent

Job Description

Our client is branching into commercial and industrial development along with a number of new luxury condo communities. Our client is looking for an eager Site Superintendent with a minimum of 5 years of local construction experience to join their team on a permanent basis and make an immediate impact and contribute to their ICI projects.

Qualifications:

- Experienced in managing projects that value over 20 Million. Comprehensive understanding of construction scheduling, contracts, quality control, engineering principles and drawings, and safety regulations.
- In-depth understanding of construction safety best-practices and experience enforcing strict health and safety procedures on-site.
- Ability to interpret construction cost reports and provide input on opportunities to improve project budget.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify/mitigate risks and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to coordinate and execute multiple scopes of work.
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to provide guidance and instruction to a large team of labourers and subcontractors.
- Ability/willingness to travel around or outside of the GTA to our various construction project sites.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.), and ability to adapt to new technology for improving productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- The Site Superintendent must supervise, coordinate, and plan activities of site personnel, sub-trades and other contractors.
- The Site Superintendent must assist in determining methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, and work schedule, and document actual hours worked.
- The Site Superintendent must ensure all required inspections, materials, equipment, etc., and support personnel activities are coordinated with project schedule.
Provide overall on-site management, administrative and technical direction on the construction project site.
-Enforce company and project policies and ensures project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
-As the leader of the Project Site Team your duties include overseeing all on-site construction activities daily.
-The Site Superintendent must take the lead on productivity issues and monitor work performance and efficiency of employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule are followed and project is executed effectively and within budget.
