About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer with a strong background in utilities and infrastructure projects to work on upcoming civil and utility schemes. You'll oversee on-site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple subcontractors, and has a deep understanding of utility installations - including water, gas, electric, and telecom networks.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site activities across utility and infrastructure works

Coordinate subcontractors, plant, materials, and logistics

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

Maintain accurate site records, RAMS, and progress reports

Drive productivity and ensure project milestones are achieved
Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on utility or civil engineering projects

Strong knowledge of utility installation and diversion processes

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates

NRSWA accreditation preferred

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites
