Our client, one of Ireland's largest main contractors, is currently seeking a Site Engineer to join a new civils project in the South-east. The project itself is quite unique in its structure, making this an excellent project to add to your resume and also help you take the next step in your career towards Senior Engineer.
The client is best known for their impressive range of large scale projects across commercial, healthcare, residential, Data Centres all around Ireland. As Site Engineer, you will be joining a close-knit site team, reporting directly to the Site Manager and Project Manager. This company is renowned for retaining its people and offering further career opportunities.
Site Engineer Key Responsibilities:
Checking the quality of work as required
Working with and managing subcontractors involves keeping a daily diary of levels of work for each subcontractor
Carry out all setting out duties
Calculating and ordering of materials to the site
Planning work schedules
Liaising with Consultants, Project Manager, Site Managers, Site Clerks, Quantity Surveyors and subcontractors
Supporting the Project Manager and the wider team to provide technical advise on the project
Daily liaison with the project team, design team and subcontractors
Perform technical verifications of civil engineering designs, models and drawings.
Implementing QA procedures, concrete pre/post pour checks, RFI’s and resolves technical issues
Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.
Site Engineer Key Requirements:
Relevant Third level Degree
5+ years’ experience
Previous Main Contractor experience
Previous projects experience on Civil Engineering projects
Proficient in the use of GPS, robotic total station and levelling equipment is essential
Excellent IT skills – knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navis works, Microsoft
