An industry leader in Rail Design consultancy services is looking to recruit Signalling Design Engineers in various locations in the UK.
Being an experienced Signalling Design Engineer, you'll have the chance to focus on the parts of your role you most enjoy. You will collaborate with the signalling design team, taking a technical lead across multi-disciplinary projects to ensure strong delivery.
Keen to hear from candidates with;
- A current Signalling Principles Designer License (IRSE, IET...) or Signalling Design Verifier
- Previous experience of in delivering signalling design as part of multi-disciplinary rail systems projects
- Knowledge of interfaces between signaling/system engineering and other railway disciplines and how these are managed
- A demonstrated and proven ability to deliver and knowledge around UK signalling principles
- Strong ability in maintaining the highest standard of signalling design technical skills
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for producing deliverables in accordance with client and governance requirements undertaking and overseeing production of Signalling designs
- Carry out design and assessment work for signalling elements of projects with minimal supervision
- Keep up to date with current NR, RSSB and British standards relevant to signalling design
- Prepare design and assessment reports and produce mark ups and sketches for CAD technicians
- Ensure that all technical competence supporting documentation is kept up to date (e.g. Authority to work, training, IRSE licence, IRSE log book...)
- Communicate effectively with other design/construction disciplines and sub-contractors
