Location: London

Salary: Negotiable commensurate with experience plus a fantastic package including;

Overview

A dynamic and growing consultancy with a growing and diversifying portfolio of work is seeking to add an energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant to join their Air Quality & Climate Change team.

Depending on experience, they will take a supporting to lead role in the delivery and management of climate change projects, helping to grow our business in this area.

The business provide expert advice to Local, Regional and National Government, agencies, companies to help them understand and reduce GHG emissions and adapt to the impacts of unavoidable future climate change. We have a growing body of work relating to greenhouse gas emissions inventories/assessment, climate change risk assessment, Carbon reduction pathways following PAS 2080, UK/EU/UN climate change legislation and processes.

The Role

As a valuable member of the team, you will have proven experience in consultancy (reflective of your proposed grade).

(Principal Consultants will contribute to the development of business area strategy, lead projects and bids and provide support to the development of more junior colleagues.)

The Duties:

- Work with the Team's Director to provide project delivery of climate change assessments at a major project level
- Provide technical expertise in one or more of the following fields: climate change mitigation analysis, whole life carbon assessment (building and/or infrastructure), circular economy, low carbon technologies and energy efficiency, climate change adaptation, greenhouse gas emissions inventories/analysis, carbon models/tools,
- Produce technical report for clients, including writing, checking and review of deliverables.
- Develop client relationships and undertake bidding work including preparing, contributing to and reviewing bids/tenders.
- Communicate, liaise and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Help grow and develop the wider team
- Consultancy requires knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies. We expect all candidates to have a passion for project delivery, ensuring client satisfaction is achieved on time and within budget.

Successful candidates will have (commensurate to professional grade):

- A passion for the environment and delivering proven sustainability outcomes.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant field with further degree or professional qualification advantageous.
- Specialism in one or more key climate change fields, and/or experience in EIA consultancy for built environment and infrastructure.
- Experience of managing and taking responsibility for delivering successful projects of different sizes.
- Experience of preparing bids, including the development of methodology and presentations.
- Strong networking capability and a well-developed network of contacts.
- Confidence, excellent written and oral communication skills, energy and enthusiasm, and a creative approach to problem solving.
