Senior EHS Advisor

Job Description

This Irish-based contractor is a prominent builder in several niche market segments. The company has gained recognition for successfully undertaking complex projects and for their customer-focused, hands-on working approach.

As their portfolio continues to expand, they are seeking a Senior EHS Advisor to join their team. This will be a multi-site role covering the greater Dublin Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective communication and adherence to Site Safety Rules and the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Conduct site-specific Induction Training.
  • Coordinate permits as required.
  • Support in ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, and Workplace legislation for all employees and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and address hazards and risks on each site, ensuring proper reporting and closure.
  • Review and update site documentation, including Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and procedures, including investigating and documenting near misses and incidents.
  • Facilitate Toolbox Talks and lead project safety meetings.
  • Maintain and update all site registers and statutory forms as necessary.

Key Requirements

  • 3rd level degree/diploma/certification in the relevant field (Degree in Health and Safety/NEBOSH Diploma/ NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety)
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a Safety & Health role, with a preference for experience in the Construction industry.
  • Experience with a Main Contractor in Ireland/UK
  • Proficiency in IT, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
