Senior Construction Manager
We’re working exclusively with a leading global Construction Consultancy to appoint a Senior Construction Manager for a landmark 80MW Hyperscale Data Centre project in Europe. This is a fixed Contract basis with a preference to long term!
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-performing international team as Senior Construction Manager, delivering one of Europe’s most technically complex and high-value Data Centre builds. You’ll play a key leadership role in driving delivery excellence, safety, and innovation across all stages of the project.
The Role
As Senior Construction Manager, you’ll partner closely with the Project Director to oversee all construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and programme targets are achieved. You’ll lead the coordination of multiple workstreams, manage contractor performance, and ensure effective communication across client, design, and delivery teams.
This role suits an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, large-scale environment and enjoys taking ownership, problem-solving, and delivering tangible results.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Construction Manager
Support the Project Director in driving overall project delivery strategy.
Act as a visible safety leader onsite, supporting EHS management and auditing.
Oversee contractor activities, monitoring progress, productivity, and quality.
Manage logistics and handover planning as part of the core client delivery team.
Lead key project meetings, identifying and resolving issues to maintain programme integrity.
Collaborate with QA, Commissioning, and EHS teams to ensure technical excellence.
Track project variations and support cost control with accurate reporting.
Contribute to project closeout documentation and ensure all client requirements are met.
Ensure appropriate resourcing to meet current and future project demands.
About You
We’re keen to speak with experienced construction professionals who have led large, complex construction projects, within the Data Centre and Mission-Critical sectors for this Senior Construction Manager role.
You will have:
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing large-scale projects with strong leadership results.
Excellent understanding of the Design and Construction lifecycle.
The ability to mobilise and inspire teams to achieve shared goals.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
A professional certification (or working towards one) is desirable.
