Senior CAD Technician

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Civils 3D CAD Technician to join a leading contractor within the highways sector, working on major TfL projects across London.
Our client is looking for a Senior Civils 3D CAD Technician to join their Highways team based in Southwark, London. This role will involve producing 3D design information for construction and supporting feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design work. Package offered for this Senior Civils 3D CAD Technician role:

· Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per year

Key responsibilities for this Senior Civils 3D CAD Technician role:

· Producing 3D civils design plans such as contour plans, cut & fill plans, setting out information, and cross sections
· Supporting the Commercial team with Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Compensation Events (CEs)
· Preparing signage design drawings using KeySigns
· Raising design-related queries with the Design Manager
· Assisting Scheme Engineers with constructability issues during planning
· Identifying and managing risks and opportunities in line with the risk management plan
· Ensuring technical compliance with design specifications and industry standards
· Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget

Experience required for this Senior Civils 3D CAD Technician role:

· Extensive experience in highway design
· Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D software
· Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
· Solid understanding of DMRB and SHW standards
· Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects
· Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders
