Job Description

My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Sales Lead to drive the expansion of their Groundwork Solution offering across Europe, with an initial focus on the German market. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone with a strong background in geophysics and a proven ability to identify and develop business opportunities in infrastructure and energy sectors.

Groundwork Solution is a cutting-edge approach to subsurface risk management. It integrates advanced ground imaging, targeted geotechnical insights, and data analytics to deliver faster, more efficient, and more sustainable site characterization—reducing the need for traditional exploratory investigations and supporting better decision-making throughout the asset development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and conversion of new business opportunities for Groundwork Solution in Europe, with a primary focus on Germany.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, particularly within infrastructure and energy markets.

  • Work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams to align client needs with solution capabilities.

  • Contribute to regional sales strategy and represent the solution at industry events, meetings, and presentations.

  • Travel regularly within the region to engage with clients and project stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Degree (ideally postgraduate) in geophysics or a related field.

  • 5+ years’ experience in technical sales or business development, preferably within infrastructure, energy, or engineering consulting.

  • Strong understanding of the full asset development cycle and stakeholder landscape (e.g. owners, designers, contractors).

  • Proven track record in identifying and converting complex project opportunities.

  • Well-connected within relevant industries and confident building new networks.

  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.

  • Professional proficiency in German is strongly preferred.
