About the Role

This role sits within a complex infrastructure commercial team delivering projects across the North East and Yorkshire region.

You will support the commercial management of major infrastructure programmes, working across sectors including rail, highways, utilities, defence, energy and aviation. The role involves managing project costs, administering contracts and working closely with project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.

You will also work closely with internal teams and clients to maintain strong relationships and contribute to the wider commercial performance of projects.

 

The key requirements for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

- Prepare and manage project cost estimates and budgets
- Monitor and forecast project costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Produce financial and commercial reports for project stakeholders
- Liaise with clients, contractors and delivery teams to support project delivery
- Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms
- Manage and assess contract changes where required
- Provide commercial advice and support to project stakeholders

 

Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

- Experience in quantity surveying or commercial management within infrastructure projects
- Experience working with NEC contracts or similar forms of contract
- Experience supporting cost management and commercial activities across project lifecycles
- Relevant qualification in quantity surveying, commercial management or a related discipline

 

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

- Professional accreditation such as RICS or CICES
- Experience working within sectors such as rail, water, highways, utilities, defence, energy or aviation
