Location: Huntingdon (with site travel)
Employment Type: Permanent

A well-established civil engineering and construction contractor is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis, operating from their Huntingdon area office with regular site travel.

This role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of infrastructure and civil engineering works, with strong opportunities for development and progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of civil engineering projects from tender through to final account

  • Cost control, forecasting, and reporting

  • Preparation and submission of valuations and applications for payment

  • Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and variations

  • Supporting contract administration, including change control and compensation events

  • Working closely with site teams to ensure commercial and operational alignment

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in civil engineering projects

  • Earthworks experience desirable but not essential

  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts

  • Good commercial awareness and cost management skills

  • Ability to work across multiple sites and communicate effectively with site and office teams

  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented
