Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

Due to continued growth within their Build Division, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a high value industrial project with the office based in Solihull.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS with strong build experience who wants to progress within a stable, forward-thinking contractor offering excellent benefits and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing commercial activities across an industrial warehouse project

  • Working closely with the Senior QS and Project Manager to ensure accurate cost control

  • Preparing and managing subcontract packages

  • Producing valuations, variations, and cost reports

  • Ensuring compliance with JCT contracts (NEC experience is beneficial but not essential)

  • Overseeing procurement and tendering processes

  • Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors, and the wider commercial team

  • Supporting monthly commercial reporting and forecasting

  • Attending key site meetings (with required travel to Lincoln)

Experience & Skills Required

To be considered, you should have:
✔ Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the build / industrial / warehouse sector
✔ Strong working knowledge of JCT (NEC advantageous)
✔ Ability to manage commercial processes independently
✔ Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
✔ Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to project sites
✔ A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
