This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well known Tier 1 contractor working on a large water infrastructure programme across the Scotland Region.

The company is a well know Tier 1 contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Quantity Surveyor you will joining an award winning business who will be part of the Commercial Team, you will be responsible for carrying out the administration of the commercial and financial aspects of the Capital Delivery Frameworks in the Region. The role will involve working closely with the delivery team, delivering clean and waste infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role:
- Carrying out the day-to-day administration of the commercial and financial aspects of projects.
- Close liaison with the Project Management Team(s).
- Preparing Cost and Value reporting.
- Preparing commercial performance reports.
- Manage procurement including labour, plant, materials, and subcontract.
- Involvement in Pre and Post contract activities.
- Cost control.
- Change Control.
- Cash collection.
- Subcontract management and liaison.

Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role:
- Experience in Civil Engineering/Infrastructure projects is essential
- Experience in the water and waste industry would be an advantage
- Preferably degree qualified in a related area, such as Quantity Surveying or equal experience in the same field.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels.
- Able to react to constant changing workloads.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- A commercially and contractually astute individual that takes ownership of their own teams' performance.
- A proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity.
- Ability to learn and master client specific software.
- Ability to deal with large amounts of data accurately and efficiently.
- Must be able to drive and flexible to travel to sites as and when required
