Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

At our esteemed Housing Development company based in Leicester, we are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and cash flows
- Assist with the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and monitor cost control
- Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure accurate project forecasting
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender packages
- Support the Quantity Surveyor in contract administration and commercial management
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and building regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Excel and project management tools
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities
- Proactive attitude and a high level of attention to detail
