Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

I'm currently looking for a Permanent Quantity Surveyor working with a Tier 1 consultancy operating within the Yorkshire region. With a choice of either working out of the office in Leeds or Sheffield, this is a fantastic Opportunity to support the delivery of a range of projects within the education, local authority, commercial property, manufacturing and residential sectors.

Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor position:
- Work within a team and provide the full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to completion.
- Site presence as required.
- Support the preparation of Estimates/Cost Plans/Tender Documents/Tender Reports.
- Work collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery.

Experience required for the Quantity Surveyor position:
- Qualified with a BSc (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying (desirable)
- Chartered member of the RICS (or equivalent) or working towards qualification.
- Conversant in all general aspects of quantity surveying.
- Ability to assist on the preparation, monitoring and forecasting against budgets during design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning phases of a project.
- IT skills such as Office, Outlook, BIM / CAD measure, Cost Planning software e.g., Cost-X.
- Great interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate effectively (both internally and with Clients), and a willingness and determination to progress your career quickly.
- The necessary ambition and drive to deliver a high-quality professional service.
- Good organisational skills and ability to accept responsibility.
- Self-motivation and keen to become an integral team member.
- Full driving licence.
