Project Manager – Structural Engineering (Hydraulic Engineering Focus)

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary engineering team and take ownership of a range of structural engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on hydraulic structures. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating structural engineering projects, particularly those related to hydraulic infrastructure
- Acting as a central point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Providing technical oversight and mentoring to team members across all project stages
- Contributing to the preparation of proposals and supporting business development activities
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high technical standard
Your Profile
To succeed in this position, you should bring both strong technical knowledge and leadership capability:
- A degree in Civil Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. or M.Sc.), ideally with a focus on structural engineering or geotechnics
- Around 10 years of professional experience in the design of engineering structures
- Experience in hydraulic engineering projects such as ports, locks, quay walls, dams, culverts, or river engineering works is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- A proactive and independent working style
- Proficiency in German and good command of English
- Interest in sustainable design practices and digital methodologies such as BIM
The Team
You will be part of a civil and water engineering unit working on a wide range of infrastructure projects, primarily in Northern Germany. The team specializes in the design of structures such as quay walls, embankments, jetties, and locks. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are key, with access to a broad network of engineering expertise.
