Principal Environmental Consultant
Location: UK Wide - Remote
To support a growing team, my client is looking for Principal and Associate Environmental Consultants to join the Environmental Planning team. You will be instrumental in improving the environmental performance and conducting environmental impact assessments for a diverse range of sectors.
Key responsibilities for this Environmental Consultant role:
- Lead the production of EIA's and similar environmental assessments for a wide range of infrastructure projects in both the private and public sector.
- Leading, managing and mentoring team members to support their career development.
- Providing environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleagues.
- Working closely with consultees and stakeholders.
- Identifying new business opportunities, preparing proposals to secure work as well as initiating and implementing marketing activities.
Experience required for this Environmental Consultant role:
- Relevant degree (but not limited to geography, environmental science etc)
- Achieved or demonstrably working towards full membership with IEMA/IES and CEnv.
- Knowledge and understanding of EIS processes and relevant UK planning legislation is essential, as is a good understanding of a range of technical environmental disciplines.
- Able to manage clients' needs in a confident, professional manner.
- Experience must include project management responsibilities, including commercial and risk aspects, forecasting, and quality assurance.
Package offered for this role:
- Salary £53,000 - £64,000 depending on level (Principal - Associate)
- 25 days annual leave (rising to 27) with the opportunity to buy extra leave.
