Payroll Manager

Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Payroll Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Wigan. For further information about this position please apply.

 

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Processing starters and leavers
  • Administering statutory payments for SSP, SMP, SPP
  • All statutory in year and year-end reporting including P60s, P45s & P11Ds
  • Processing pension contributions
  • Holiday pay calculations
  • Analysing & costing timesheets weekly
  • Responding to and resolving staff queries
  • Processing and paying expenses for 250+ employees
  • Ensure payroll processes are compliant with GDPR at all times.
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be required

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • At least 3 years payroll experience, ideally gained in the Construction industry where you will have experienced a fully costed payroll system.
  • Excellent PC skills including advanced Excel, managing multiple spreadsheets (pivot tables, vlookup, sumifs etc.)
  • COINS experience would be ideal
  • Sound knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and regulations
  • Processing timesheets
  • End to end including reports on P60s, P45s & P11Ds etc.
  • Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and will pride yourself on your ability to process data with speed & accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS

        •      AAT or CIPP qualified
