The Role

Navartis are currently working with rapidly expanding engineering company based in Derby who are looking to add a Mechanical Fitter into their current team.

This role becomes available at an exciting time for the company – at a time where significant growth is expected for the business and an opportunity to be part of their long running heritage.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of mechanical equipment
  • Work on electrical components such as testing and rewiring
  • Utilise in-house reporting systems to ensure work is completed to timescales and standards
  • Operate a safe and efficient working environment, following health and safety procedures
  • Variety of other mechanical duties within a workshop setting

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working within a similar background/environment
  • Flexible work approach – able to take on a variety of tasks in different settings
  • Detail orientated – able to effectively plan workloads, perform to high standard
  • Experience within HVAC units would be beneficial, as well as any pneumatic/hydraulic exposure
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and individually – pro active and positive approach
  • A base electrical knowledge, such as fault finding/testing
