The Role
Navartis are currently working with rapidly expanding engineering company based in Derby who are looking to add a Mechanical Fitter into their current team.
This role becomes available at an exciting time for the company – at a time where significant growth is expected for the business and an opportunity to be part of their long running heritage.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of mechanical equipment
- Work on electrical components such as testing and rewiring
- Utilise in-house reporting systems to ensure work is completed to timescales and standards
- Operate a safe and efficient working environment, following health and safety procedures
- Variety of other mechanical duties within a workshop setting
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working within a similar background/environment
- Flexible work approach – able to take on a variety of tasks in different settings
- Detail orientated – able to effectively plan workloads, perform to high standard
- Experience within HVAC units would be beneficial, as well as any pneumatic/hydraulic exposure
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually – pro active and positive approach
- A base electrical knowledge, such as fault finding/testing
