Our client serves electrical contractors, industrial, OEM, utility, & institutional customers with electrical supplies and solutions. They are currently expanding their team and are looking for an experienced Junior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Within this role you will be working on a data centre project in Dublin, and you will be reporting to the Electrical Construction Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your knowledge and gain experience on a high value project.
Key responsibilities
- Proficient in budgeting, reporting, and developing BOQ's, as well as profit plans
- Excellent communication skills for conducting interim commercial meetings with clients and internal project teams
- Responsible for detailed reporting on the commercial status of projects to the Project Manager
- Management of subcontractor accounts, including interim valuations and final accounts, ensuring adherence to payment terms and retention agreements
- Administration of contract obligations and meeting client requirements as part of the commercial team
- Issuing interim and final accounts and progress applications according to project and contract requirements
- Identification and reporting of potential commercial risks to Senior Management
- Collaboration with Planning Engineer for accurate progress reporting
- Capable of costing and agreeing daily work changes, managing subcontractor remeasurement, site dayworks, and change orders
- Maintaining accurate records to support commercial tracking and costing
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and provide prompt and accurate information
Key requirements
- 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying ideally coupled with a technical background as either Electrician or Electrical Engineer
- Minimum 1 years’ experience essential on Electrical Projects.
- Proficient in excel.
- Experience within data centre/ pharmaceutical/ industrial or commercial sectors is desirable
- Excellent Communication/Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Record Keeping and Administration Skills
Package offered
- Starting salary ranging from €40,000 - €45,000, depending on experience
