Our client is now seeking an experienced High Voltage (HV) Technical Lead to take a key leadership role in the delivery of complex, high-performance electrical systems on a major data centre programme.

The Role
As High Voltage (HV) Technical Lead, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of high-voltage systems, from design and planning to construction, compliance, testing, and handover. You’ll collaborate with designers, contractors, utility providers, and project stakeholders to ensure that all HV works meet performance, safety, and quality expectations.
The role requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges and leading multidisciplinary teams toward successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities for HV Technical Lead – (Belgium)
Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of HV electrical systems across major construction projects.
Coordinate and direct technical teams through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover stages.
Manage project design reviews, approvals, and compliance with all relevant HV codes, standards, and regulations.
Act as the key point of contact for utility companies, ensuring timely coordination and integration of power infrastructure.
Oversee adherence to regional HV regulatory requirements and maintain best-practice documentation.
Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring alignment with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
Support project planning, testing, and commissioning processes to ensure seamless system energisation and handover.
Collaborate effectively with client representatives, contractors, and design teams to maintain communication and resolve issues proactively.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within HV delivery teams.
About You
We’re looking for a High Voltage (HV) Technical Lead with a strong background in electrical or energy infrastructure who can confidently manage large-scale and complex projects.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience leading HV electrical system delivery on major Data Centre construction projects.
A background in electrical engineering, construction management, or energy systems.
Deep understanding of utility protocols, commissioning practices, and HV safety standards.
Familiarity with regional regulations and industry codes relevant to high-voltage installations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
