We’re seeking a Groundwater Modeller to support hydrogeological and environmental assessments, working across consulting projects with both local and international scope. This role contributes significantly to water resource management, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure design.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and calibrate conceptual and numerical groundwater flow and transport models (e.g., using MODFLOW, SEAWAT, FEFLOW, MT3D, etc.).

Assist in hydrogeological data collection and interpretation, including borehole logs, aquifer properties, flow tests, water level data, geophysical surveys.

Process and analyze data using GIS tools and scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, R) to prepare model inputs and visual outputs.

Work with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., civil engineers, geotechnical specialists) to integrate modeling outputs into project deliverables, such as environmental impact assessments, groundwater risk assessments, and engineering design briefs.

Draft technical reports, visualizations, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Optionally assist with field campaigns, including monitoring well installations, hydraulic testing, and site reconnaissance.
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Hands-on experience with one or more numerical groundwater modeling platforms (MODFLOW, FEFLOW, SEAWAT, etc.).

Proficiency in scripting—Python, Matlab, or R—for data processing and model automation.

Skilled in GIS (e.g., ArcGIS/QGIS) for spatial analyses and map production.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and effective verbal/written communication.

Fluent in English & German proficiency.
