Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist Needed. Project based in Langport – Somerset which will be working on the Environmental Agency package covering the improvement flood storage reservoir. You will be commissioned to support delivery of flood risk management, environmental, navigation and other outcomes, providing services at various stages of the whole life asset cycle and incident management responses across the Southwest.
You will need:
• Graduate degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field;
• At least 2 years of experience in geotechnical site investigations;
• Valid CSCS card for on-site work;
• Strong understanding of geology, including engineering geology, soil mechanics, and rock mechanics;
• Expertise in AutoCAD Suite;
• Experience in geological mapping, sampling, logging and interpretation of geological data for ground models is essential;
• Experience with geotechnical instrumentation, including data collection and interpretation, is preferred;
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team;
