My client is a leading residential high-rise developer, and is seeking a skilled an experienced estimator to join our dynamic team. With a strong presence in the Greater Toronto Area and expanding into the Kitchener-Waterloo Region, my client specializes in high-rise residential projects, ranging up to the impressive 50-floor mark. They take pride in delivering exceptional developments that redefine urban living.

Responsibilities of the selected Estimator

  • The estimator will conduct thorough cost analyses for residential high-rise projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather accurate and detailed project specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids for residential high-rise developments, ensuring alignment with project goals and budget constraints.
  • The estimator will stay abreast of market trends, pricing, and industry benchmarks to maintain competitiveness.
  • Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
  • The estimator will provide support in value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure cost-effective and reliable services.
  • The estimator will maintain positive relationships to foster long-term partnerships within the construction industry.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
  • The estimator will collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate risk assessments are factored into the overall project plan.


Qualifications required of this estimator:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the residential high-rise construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in construction estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Compensation and Benefits provided for this estimator:

  • Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $145,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
