Electrical Commissioning Engineer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a well known Tier 1 contractor working on major utilities project in the West London area.
The company is a well know Tier 1 contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Electrical Commissioning Engineer you will be reporting into the Commissioning Manager, effectively delivering the commissioning of wastewater and sludge treatment process plant from completion of construction through to successful take-over. This is working on a large waste water treatment works project.

Key responsibilities for this Electrical Commissioning Engineer role:
- Electrical inspection of cable terminations and glanding in the field and producing marked-up as-build electrical drawings
- Identify and resolving electrical issues through effective fault finding and trouble shooting
- Testing and commissioning of electrical power and ICA control systems including motors, setting up inverter drives, magnetic flow meters, pressure transducers, level instrumentation and valve actuators.
- Functional testing of analogue and digital signals to the PLC and SCADA, as well as initial start-up and wet commissioning of pumps, blowers, gas boosters, sludge screens, mixing pumps and gas compressors.
- Functionality testing of process plant as part of Site Acceptance Testing and completion of detailed commissioning reports to support Take-Over.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with Electrical Site Safety Rules and Health and Safety regulations.
Experience required for this Electrical Commissioning Engineer role:
- A minimum City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualified and an ECS (JIB) Gold Card holder.
- Experience in supervising electrical installation on capital projects with a minimum 4 day qualification in safety (such as IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS).
- Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering and experience of carrying out Authorised Person (LV) duties.
- The ability to take full responsibility for producing, checking and completing inspection and test sheets and other necessary documentation required for Take-Over.

Package offered for this Electrical Commissioning Engineer role:

- Basic Salary up to £55,00 depending on experience
- Plus Package
