Location: North Yorkshire



Salary: DOE - Outside IR35


Summary for EICA Project Engineer:

A Tier 2 contractor providing specialist contracing sevices to support the successful delivery of non-infrastructure projects throughout the UK is seeking a EICA Project Engineer to join the dynamic M&E team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of civil engineering in the water sector.

As a successful candidate you will be electrical bias and have experience in commissioning. You will need to be involved in cradle to grave works from design, implementaion and commissioning, with a background with Tier 1 or 2 non-infrastructure projects across a variety of water sector projects and frameworks.


Essential criteria;

Who we are looking for:

- Experience: Working on Water Treatment plants and pumping stations from design, implimentation and commissioning. 

- Qualifications: CSCS, SMSTS, EUSR, Yorkshire Water ICA Authorised Person (AP)

- Knowledge: A deep understanding of Water framwork within Northumbrian, Yorkshire and Severn Trent water.

- Confidence: Working indepndentally and part of the wider team.

- Ability: Thrive in high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.

- Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.


Role and responsibilities;

What your role will include:

- Awareness / understanding of water & wastewater plant & process.

- Preparation and review of Electrical schematic and instrument loop diagrams, I/O, plant and telemetry schedules and P&IDs

- Preparation and review of control system design documentation including architecture, URS / FDS

- Cable calculations using Software Packages (Amtech Tri)

- Preparation and review of commissioning documentation including FATs, SATs, and commissioning plans for all plant.

- ATEX, DSEAR and SIL awareness

- MEICA surveys including LV electrical distribution, MCC’s, PLC, HMI, SCADA, communication networks, instruments, and telemetry

- Panel/MCC hardware modification works (wiring etc), including instrumentation

- Supervision of site MEICA construction works including Permits and RAMS

- Electrical Testing ensuring compliance with BS7671. Completion of Electrical Installation Certificates.

- Full plant commissioning of electrical & mechanical plant, MCCs, VSDs, pump & dosing systems, valves, actuators, instruments, telemetry etc.

- Validation & witness testing

- End to End Telemetry Testing
