Location:  Ideally comutable to Birmingham, Bristol or Reading but ooen to candidate further afield if felxible on traveling / Hybrid working.

Salary: Circa £65,000 - £70,000 negotiable dependant on level of experience plus package including:

Summary


A hugely successful consultancy with expertise in delivering combined engineering, environmental and sustainable solutions across the UK and Australia are looking to bring on board an Associate Director with a commercial focus to help deliver their national programme of works focussing on the delivery of surface water management, drainage design, sustainable drainage, green infrastructure, master planning, integrated water management, resiliency studies, flood risk assessments and flood risk projects in the private and public sectors.


Working alongside the Technical Directors responsible for the delivery of flood management and drainage projects, the successful candidate will be required to manage and contribute to a range of studies, including flood risk assessments, flood management strategies Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) design, and numerical flood modelling.

What you'll need to succeed:

- Educated to a minimum standard of BEng in Civil Engineering studies or other related degree.
- Extensive relevant experience, including design, management, full knowledge of civil engineering design standards and business development.
- Chartered Engineer and member of The Institution of Civil Engineers or Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
- Proficient using Micro Drainage, XP Storm, Hec-Ras, Tuflow and ISIS software packages.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and PDS design software.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. This will also involve working with various other disciplines and offices within the company and external organisations.
- Self-motivated individual with desire to not only work within the team but also have ambition to help it grow and develop. Mentoring/supervision of trainee staff to develop their knowledge and skills.
- Working knowledge of health and safety standards and adhere to them at all times.
- hold CSCS card and understand correct use of personal protective equipment.
- Understanding the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
