Senior Estimator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Construction Estimator with residential experience to join our team in Brampton . As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for construction projects. You will work closely with our project managers and clients to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Job Title: Senior Estimator (Brampton)

Key Responsibilities of Senior Estimator :
- Reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyzing project requirements and identifying potential risks and opportunities that may affect the cost or schedule of the project.
- Developing detailed cost estimates that include materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
- Obtaining quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing for all project components.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure that estimates are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Providing input on project design and construction methods to ensure that estimates reflect the most cost-effective approach.
- Continuously monitoring project costs and making adjustments as needed to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
- Preparing detailed proposals and bids that outline the scope of work, project schedule, and estimated costs.
- Participating in project meetings and presenting project cost estimates to stakeholders.

Qualifications for Senior Estimator Role:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or PlanSwift.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations in Ontario is preferred.
