Civil Engineer

Our client is actively seeking a civil engineer to become a vital part of their team in the South Dublin Area. We prioritize candidates with a strong background in drainage, as they will play a pivotal role in advancing project initiatives across various sectors, particularly in construction.

This is an exciting opportunity within our esteemed Engineering Department, where you'll engage in diverse projects catering to prestigious clients like Irish Water and Power Projects. These projects are situated in the picturesque landscapes of South Dublin and Wicklow, offering a dynamic environment for professional growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting site setting out, leveling, and surveying as per the drawings and specifications provided.
  • Overseeing day-to-day site management tasks, including supervision and monitoring of subcontractor activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in various civil projects such as ESB, Water, Telecoms, Concrete, and Groundworks.
  • Efficiently planning work schedules to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager/Senior Engineer to address construction program constraints and other relevant issues.
  • Resolving technical challenges in coordination with employer representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Implementing quality control measures in accordance with company protocols, method statements, and inspection plans.
  • Thoroughly reviewing and understanding project specifications, drawings, and contractual documents.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for extracting information and generating As-Built documentation.

Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in setting out, utilizing Total Stations and GPS
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a strong site background.
  • Previous experience in road construction is beneficial.
  • Previous experience as a engineer or land surveyor.
  • Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proven record of seeing projects through from beginning to completion
  • Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
  • Time management abilities to meet targets.
  • Full driving license and eligibility to work in the EU.

Salary: €45,000 - €57,500 DOE (negotiable), plus bonus scheme, car allowance, and additional benefits.
