The Sunshine Coast is located in South East Queensland and lies 62miles north of Brisbane. In 2021 the Sunshine Coast had an estimated population of 398,000, which makes it the 9th most populous area in Australia.

Caloundra South Priority Development Area
Aura is a master planned community being established on 2,310 hectares south of the existing Caloundra urban area, Caloundra Aerodrome and Sunshine Coast Industrial Park. Aura is the largest residential development project in Australia at this time and will provide approximately 20,000 dwellings for around 50,000 people. This project is estimated to create 20,000 jobs and cost in the region of A$3 billion.
Blue Heart Sunshine Coast
This is an innovative partnership-based project, committed to sustainable and adaptive floodplain management in the Maroochy River catchment. It is a place, a project and a partnership. The Blue Heart provides flood storage for the Maroochy River Catchment. Preserving flood storage within this area is critical to the ongoing flood management of the catchment and in particular the built environment.
