My client is seeking a talented and driven Temporary Works Engineer to join their growing Energy Division. You'll play a key role in the delivery of complex infrastructure across the energy sector.
As a core member of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing and coordinating safe, efficient, and compliant temporary works solutions that support the construction of critical energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and check temporary works designs including access scaffolds, formwork, falsework, excavation support, working platforms, lifting points, and crane foundations.
- Ensure all designs and processes comply with BS5975 and relevant safety standards.
- Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, and design consultants to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct site inspections and provide on-site technical support throughout project delivery.
- Prepare and review design briefs, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Maintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure control and sign-off procedures are followed.
Requirements:
- Experience working in temporary works design - ideally within energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Sound understanding of construction techniques and temporary works principles.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Competent user of AutoCAD and design software
