The Technical Architect Role:
An award-winning, multidisciplinary architectural and development consultancy based in Central London is looking to appoint a Technical Architect to join its established Development Consultancy team.
The practice works across a wide range of sectors and is known for delivering technically robust, design-led solutions across the full lifecycle of a development. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a technically strong architect to support projects through key delivery stages.
This is a delivery-focused role, ideally suited to a Technical Architect with strong Revit capability who enjoys working on technically challenging schemes. You'll be involved in developing coordinated technical design packages, supporting projects primarily across RIBA Stages 3-4, and working closely with senior architects, consultants and client teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities of the Technical Architect:
- Producing coordinated technical design and construction drawing packages
- Working across RIBA Stages 3-4 on complex, design-led projects
- Developing and detailing external envelope and façade packages
- Coordinating architectural information with structural and MEP consultants
- Supporting technical compliance and buildability across schemes
- Contributing to design reviews and resolving technical challenges
Key Requirements of the Technical Architect:
- ARB registered Architect
- Strong experience in technical design and delivery-focused roles
- Excellent Revit proficiency
- Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and technical standards
- Experience working on refurbishment or existing buildings (desirable)
- Exposure to high-rise or glazed façade projects (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
