Supply Chain Management Lead
East Midlands (ideally) or Manchester

We are partnering with a growing telecoms infrastructure provider who are seeking a Supply Chain Management Lead to join their team based in the East Midlands. There is flexibility to work from the Manchester office if required.

Your role as a Supply Chain Management Lead will be to drive strategic supplier relationships and ensure efficient delivery across large-scale UK network projects. This role will play a key part in strengthening procurement processes, minimising risk, and supporting business growth through a well-managed and scalable supply chain.

Key Responsibilities for this Supply Chain Management Lead role:

  • Oversee the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team, 3 direct reports & 2 indirect
  • Improve goods and services procurement processes to make sure everything runs as efficiently as possible.
  • Implement best practice negotiation strategies and secure cost-effective, mutually beneficial, profitable customer and supplier partnerships
  • Train team members and other staff when needed to strengthen supply chain knowledge.
  • Prepare and share supply chain updates for internal and client meetings.
  • Highlight any risks or opportunities that could affect the business.
  • Join weekly meetings to help plan and manage spending.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Ensure theyard is well-organised and stock levels are accurate and properly managed.
  • Liaison with sales, marketing and other departments outside SCM

Key Requirements for this Supply Chain Management Lead role:

  • Degree in Supply Chain/Procurement/Contracts Management/Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a similar role in Telecoms/Technology/Utilities industry
  • Strong understanding of UK Supply Chain Law
  • Experience with SAP is highly advantageous
  • Experience with e-procurement and supply chain systems
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of supply chain and procurement professionals
