Our client is a Building Consulting firm located in the Barrie area and quickly growing. They are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Structural Engineer EIT.
You will be part of the circuit, gaining knowledge from their Engineers and distributing this to their talented designers. You will be working in parallel with their other disciplines. The Engineering Intern will also gain experience working with other consultants including architects, contractors, and municipal government, allowing you to induct information you typically do not get exposed to.
Responsibilities of the Structural Engineer EIT:
· Researching, designing, developing, and reviewing Structural engineering drawings
· Designing for a wide range of Structural Projects
· Meeting with clients - both existing and new ones - to continue the growth.
· Preparation of fee proposals
· Conducting site reviews
· Construction/contract administration
· Coordinating with other design disciplines
· Working with outside vendors and suppliers
Requirements & Qualifications for the Structural Engineer EIT
-An EI or soon-to-be Structural EI who is excited to grow and learn in building infrastructure.
-Knowledge of Residential, Commercial and Industrial and Institutional projects.
- Working knowledge of Revit and other Structural Designer software
-Excellent organizational skills
-Can communicate effectively with various stakeholders (written and verbal)
