Site Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary / Benefits:
£45,000 - £55,000 negotiable dependent on experience plus car / allowance
Summary
A successful rail contractor that offers construction, building, cabling and electrical services to both heavy and light rail networks is looking to hire an experienced Site Manager to work on various Network rail projects across the North West
The successful candidate will be involved in the daily management and production of all the construction activities on specific project sites which include the following duties:
Requirements:
- A construction or civil engineering qualification
- Proven experience as a Site Manger on railway building and civils works
- Exposure to large civil engineering railway projects
- Experience in managing teams and subcontractors simultaneously
- Ideally hold PTS, SSSTS / SMSTS, COSS, Full First Aider, Temporary Works Supervisor etc
Duties
• Daily toolbox talks
• Daily and weekly planning
• Resource planning including materials and equipment
• Managing of in-house teams and sub-contractors
• Compiling work package planes and method statements
• Site administration including site diary, timesheets, and plant returns etc.
• Management of the works and solving of technical issues
• Managing health and safety including the reporting thereof
