We are hiring a Site Engineer to join our clients team, an Irish-based contractor, for the construction of a residential development in Tipperary.
As a Site Engineer, your key responsibility will be ensuring precise and accurate measurements throughout the construction phase. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Tipperary, with occasional travel required to other project sites in the surrounding counties.
Key Responsibilities for this site engineer role role:
- Conducting comprehensive site surveys and measurements to establish reference points, lines, and levels for the construction of the project.
- Setting out the precise position of structures, buildings, roads, and other construction works in strict adherence to project specifications.
- Utilizing robotic total stations, such as Trimble or Leica, to carry out accurate setting out and maintain high precision standards.
- Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of construction plans and adherence to design requirements.
- Monitoring and verifying the work of subcontractors to ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications.
- Promptly addressing and resolving any issues or discrepancies related to setting out measurements to maintain project progress and quality.
Requirements for this site engineer role:
- Minimum of 1 years of setting out experience in construction projects, with a focus on manufacturing plants or similar industrial facilities.
- A relevant degree in engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in setting out using robotic total stations, particularly Trimble or Leica, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, surveying methods, and relevant software applications.
- Willingness to travel to the construction site in Cork as required for project needs.
- Full EU Driving License.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
Salary for this Site Engineer role is between €38,000 - €55,000 DOE (Negotiable dependent upon experience), with a bonus scheme, car allowance, and additional benefits.
