Site Agent

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Agent to join a main contractor and work on their existing work for Anglian Water, as well as preperation work for AMP8. 

The company is an award-winning main contractor who are market leaders in the residential development sector. Your role as Site Agent will involve working on several projects at once.

Key responsibilities for this Site Agent role:

• Programming works, commercial performance and the effective utilisation of resources to meet those programmes

• Support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with H&S related policies and procedures

• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the specification

• Promote cross division working with other members within the Project to create a one-team ethos

• Take full ownership and accountability for profit and loss in the project, ensuring robust control of target costs and actual costs incurred

• Ensure all labour, plant, materials and supply chain resources are accurately recorded

• Undertake financial forecasts, forecast reviews, final cost & value review with Commercial Team

• Ensure all the change is monitored and communicated to the Commercial Team in a timely manner

• Minimise costs and ensure Target price fully reflects the works instructed through commercial awareness

• Escalate where expectations are not met

• Identify areas of opportunity and improvement

• Report metrics to the Senior Management Team on a weekly basis

 

Requirements for this Site Agent role:

• Relevant qualification (Management qualification / NVQ L3 / HNC / Degree)

• Prior experience working with water, reinforced concrete, groundworks and civils essential

• Strong knowledge and experience of the main management systems and processes used within a similar business.

• Excellent communication and project management skills including leading and managing technical teams within a competitive business environment.

• Able to take the lead with client interfaces and manage project delivery on technical and business aspects of team outputs.

• Able to establish project requirements and drive the team to deliver the required outputs in terms of quality, cost and programme.

• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Proactive approach to work

• Enthusiastic, Collaborative approach

• Looking to improve procedures in the department and implement changes
