Job Description

Locations: Norfolk, Cambridge, Peterborough, and within the M25 boundary


About the Role

An established and respected security technology company is expanding its service division and seeking skilled Service Engineers to join the team. This is a field-based role, providing maintenance, repair, and support for a range of advanced security systems across key regions in the South East and East of England.

You’ll be part of a supportive and technically experienced team, reporting directly to a Regional Supervisor and Manager. The role involves travel within your assigned area, working on both scheduled maintenance and reactive service tasks across multiple client sites.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, intruder alarms, and integrated management platforms.

  • Diagnose and repair faults efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service on every visit, maintaining professional standards and clear communication.

  • Provide occasional commissioning or installation support for project work when required.

  • Participate in an on-call rota for emergency response coverage.


What We’re Looking For

  • A solid foundation in electrical or electronic engineering — either through qualification or relevant field experience.

  • Proven experience in field service or maintenance roles.

  • Strong IT literacy and familiarity with computer-based systems.

  • A good understanding of at least two of the following: CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Perimeter Detection, or Networking.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.

  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Full UK driving licence required.

Bonus Skills (Desirable but not essential):

  • ECS, CSCS, IPAF, or Safety Passport certification.


Training & Development

Full training is provided through a combination of internal programs, external courses, and mentoring. This includes support to gain additional certifications and develop expertise across multiple systems and technologies.
